Full Tasting

Pusser's carries the Royal Navy rum ration recipe and is bottled in the UK. Gunpowder Proof (54.5%) is the closest thing you can drink to what was poured on deck. Nose: heavy molasses, treacle tart, tobacco leaf, bittersweet orange marmalade. Palate: thick, chewy and unctuous. Christmas cake, burnt sugar, black liquorice and a dry oak finish that lingers for minutes. Still the definitive British Navy rum — every home bar should carry a bottle.
